PIH Engage Boston Team Kickoff Retreat
UPDATE SEPTEMBER 22, 2014 (PLEASE READ):
I'm really excited that we have so much interest in the event! Unfortunately, there's no way that we'll be able to comfortably fit the current number of rsvps (29) in the house in Charlestown. So, I'm changing the venue to the MIT campus -- 66-110, a triangular building at 25 Ames Street, which is between Main Street and Memorial Drive. It's a fairly large lecture hall with a built-in projector screen and chalkboard, so I hope it'll facilitate our discussions and let us be more comfortable in the kickoff. To find it, this link may help: whereis.mit.edu.
All other details remain the same. Access to the building should be open (since MIT is an open campus), though I will definitely check to make sure. Please feel free to bring along any other food or drinks that you wish, but certainly don't feel obligated, and please do spread word of the venue change! Really appreciate it. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns -- thanks!
The PIH Engage Boston team is getting together for a potluck in Charlestown to kickoff the campaign! We will be spending the evening getting to know one another, setting norms and expectations for the campaign, assigning responsibilities for each of the campaign events, and also incredibly importantly... eating and drinking!
To get here by T, you can take the Orange line and arrive at either North Station or Community College, or the Green line and arrive at North Station. Both stations are roughly equidistant from the house.
If you plan on driving, give me a heads up and I can help you find parking. Parking in Charlestown is free and legal on weekends.
If you plan on biking, let me know where you plan on coming from and I can advise you on what I think might be the safest, most convenient path (having biked from Charlestown to many different places in Boston/Cambridge many times).
